Hello All!๐
So, I had originally posted June for Part II and I know many of you have been waiting oh, so (okay, maybe not so๐) patiently. First let me say, your support means everything to me and you have my sincere love and gratitude. Second! When I (re) launched Askara in April, people understandably wanted to know when to expect Part II. I chose June because I had already started writing it and thought if I cut back at my PT job I could swing it. I knew many were unhappy with the cliffhanger ending (have I mentioned I will never, ever write another cliffie again?) and I couldn't blame them. I also hate disappointing people and wanted to get the conclusion of Tori & Aderus's story out ASAP for everyone.
...Well, here we are. It's well into June and I gotta spill the beans: it won't be June. *Wince* I know. I know. Please don't hate me, and though you may want to throw something, stay with me! The last few weeks have been real. And wonderful. As a new (nearly) full time writer I've had to learn what my pace is, how to predict and budget my writing ability. Essentially, growing pains. For those that follow me on FB (and Twitter) you may have noticed that every time I responded/commented on June, I always said "trying" or "pushing hard for" and I was still deluding myself it was possible up until like, last week. But all work and no play makes JM a dull girl. And the most important thing to me after my readers is the quality of my work. I want to put out stories you will love- unfortunately, I'm just not the speed writer I thought I was. So, being totally realistic from here on out, even if it's a bit more disappointing. I'd rather be able to give you all a time frame I know I can work with ๐
Still with me? Good. Understanding leads to acceptance, right? (I hope Lol). Questions/comments? Fire away. When can we expect Chasing Earth? August 2018, solid. When in August? Middle to end. Will I post at least one more teaser? You bet you butt. Promos? YES. I will be taking over fellow author Jeanette Lynn's Facebook group Book Wyrms Anonymous for Ornthren-iday on Saturday June 30th, at which time I will post the cover both there and on my FB page (and here). I'll be sharing a bit about myself, as well as fun little trivia questions to win free (gift) e-copies of C.E. when it releases. Or a signed print of Askara, if that's what you'd prefer๐. And if you're unfamiliar with Jeanette Lynn, her book Of Another Dimension was one of the first Sci-fi alien romances I read and loved. Her group will be hosting a plethora of authors the whole month of June to celebrate her book The Toll coming to print.
Okay, enough blabbing! Cue cover teaser!!
XO ๐JM

Hello My Lovely Readers๐ So, this post is later than promised because it turned into something completely different than what I had planned...

ReplyDeleteLorraine
I was beyond surprised when I saw that this was your first novel! It was amazing and I have recommended it to everyone I know :D I cannot wait for more of your work!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine and Jess!! :):) <3<3 I am REALLY enjoying writing Earth so far ;) :D And Jess? You're a gem. I so appreciate the recommendations. That helps us new authors tremendously and and I'm flattered, truly <3 As far as more books, no worries there haha. There will be at least 6 or 7 more in the Askari series and I'm toying with a couple of other stand alones. Hoping to be able to get one more out by the end of this year, or Jan next year (after Earth).
DeleteI feverishly check Amazon all the time for book two, so I am disappointed, however, I prefer that you take your time so when you release it, you are proud!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Y!! <3 Phew, helps take some of the pressure off Lol. And I so agree ;)
DeleteI have read Saving Askara 3 times and I love it more every time! So I will just read again to pass the time if I have to. Just take the time you need to finish part 2. Anxious for it it..yes! But I am patient lol
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca!! (Big wave). You're the best, hehe <3 :):)
DeleteOh good lord I gotta wait to see if she's preggo? COME ON JM!! you're leaving us dangling dang it!
ReplyDeleteLOL. *eyebrow wag*
DeleteGood things are worth waiting for, people. I like the fact that the heroine's DNA is adapting. I believe she is pregnant. It would be interesting if she not not only had her eyes change, but manifested a growth spurt (she is tiny and I would like to see her bigger). Maybe her skin color will change and she will develop more alien characteristics. I would like to see a successful paring of the two races to bring about a perfectly adapted hybrid. I don't like the fact that the aliens regard her as inferior and weak. I would like to see their relationship grow and succeed. I am willing to wait for this next book. J.M. Link, you are talented indeed. Most writers crank out barely there plots, but you have outdone yourself on your fist book. I look forward to being "wowed" by the worlds and characters your will weave for us all. Thank you for making my reading experience so exciting!
ReplyDeleteOooo, all awesome suggestions. We shall see, right?? ;) Aw, thank you so so much <3 <3. I am so happy you love my stories as much as I love writing them for you all. I only wish there were two of me, so that I could get them out twice as fast! Lol.
