Esskrhel/esskrhen (singular/plural): Older or aged Askari.
Grrhlyen: Askari word for mother.
Havat: What the Askari wear. It appears as a small, round black disc that attaches to the skin and then expands outward to cover the body. It is light but incredibly strong and comprised of the intuitive, self-aware technology of Askara. It can respond to the wearer’s thoughts and impulses, via movement, vibrations, light and/or energy pulses…etc.
Kharhisshna: The name
for Askara’s “mother planet”, since Askara is actually a habitable moon
orbiting a large gas giant.
Khurzhev/khurzha
(m/f): In Askari society, a healer. They are less respected by some, due to
their more docile natures.
Krhune/krhuning (noun,
verb): A sound the Askari make when they’re content, or with humans, intimate.
It emanates from their chests (mainly) and sounds like a cross between a hum
and a purr. When they’re very happy or experiencing intense emotion, this sound
can turn song-like.
Maekhur/Maekhurz
(singular, plural): Askara’s much-hated enemy. They invaded and waged war on
the Askari, decimating their species, in an attempt to appropriate their
technology. The war still rages on…
Palkriv: An Askari with light or milk-colored skin. They are a rarity and are considered undesirable because their skin is more vulnerable to Askara’s radiation. This is seen as a weakness and weakness is detested among the Askari.
Pvost: A male Askari’s, ahem, male part. It resembles a smooth tentacle or snake, thicker at the base and gently pointed at the tip. It resides inside his body, behind his vryll, and comes forth when he is aroused.
Rukhhal: A popular and nutritious Askari food source. They resemble pale fat worms with hard black spines, and they like to wriggle (yum).
Snikt/snikted (noun,
verb): A sound the Askari make in affirmation, like a “yes”. It sounds like a
short hiss followed by a click or pop.
Ssvold: Term the
Askari use to describe traveling through spacetime instantaneously. It’s how
they escaped to Earth and is a capability of their technology.
Tretss’hil: As used,
means “Betrayer” or “Traitor” in Askari.
Us’grah: A name for
the part of their technology that many Askari consider aware. Like a guiding
intelligence or force, if you will.
Vryll: Wet folds of
flesh that protect and contain an Askari male’s pvost. When they are closed, it
looks like part of his skin.
